What if it’s not too late?
There’s a lot more conversation happening now about perimenopause and menopause — and that’s a good thing.
But I also hear something different from many of the women I work with who are past that stage.
“I wish this had been talked about more when I was going through it.”
“I struggled for years and didn’t feel like I had any real options.”
I’ve been in practice for almost 25 years, and I remember this time clearly.
When I first started practicing, hormone therapy was being taken off the table — and there wasn’t much offered in its place. Menopause wasn’t as openly discussed, and many women were left to struggle quietly, assuming their symptoms were just something they had to live with.
So when I hear frustration, and sometimes anger, it makes sense.
Now the conversation has shifted again. There’s more nuance, more information, and thankfully more treatment options. But many women who are well past menopause are left wondering where that leaves them.
If that’s you, this is what I want you to hear:
It’s not too late. There are still options.
Hormone therapy isn’t necessarily a hard no — but it’s also not the only path forward.
Even well beyond menopause, there is a lot that can still be supported when we focus on the foundations that influence how your body functions every day — digestion, detoxification, nervous system balance, muscle and bone health, mitochondrial support, and thoughtful hormone optimization within the context of your whole health picture.
I see this regularly — women past menopause improving strength, bone health markers, cholesterol, blood sugar, energy, and mental clarity when the right pieces are addressed together.
This isn’t about quick fixes or band-aid solutions. It’s about helping your body work better now — so you can optimize your health, independence, and quality of life for the years ahead.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to keep this conversation going. If you’re comfortable doing so, comment below and share what part of your health you wish you had more support around right now.
