My Joyful Holiday Gift to You

There’s a small holiday gift waiting for you inside this blog.

I know this is an incredibly busy time of year. It can feel like a whirlwind, but I hope it also holds some peaceful moments when you’re able to pause, take in the lights, and remember what truly matters.

I am so grateful for this newsletter community. Thank you for taking the time to read these messages and for allowing me to share my thoughts and a bit of my life with you.

As we head into the holidays, I want to offer a gentle reminder that doing what brings us joy is an important part of our health. Most weeks I write about nutrition, movement, hormones, and the habits that help us feel our best. But something I’ve learned over the past few years is how powerful it is to pay attention to what genuinely brings us joy, and then make sure we spend some time doing it.

For me, one of those things is music. Listening to it, singing along… it lifts my mood and fills me up in such a simple, meaningful way. It’s also known to activate our parasympathetic nervous system (the opposite of being in fight or flight), which is important for healing. One of my intentions for the new year is to join a community choir to give myself a regular opportunity to sing my little heart out.

As you move through the holidays, I encourage you to pause and ask yourself:

What brings me joy?

What feels fun and meaningful to me?

How can I bring more of that into the new year?

And as my holiday gift to you, I’m sharing something that’s been bringing me joy for weeks now. I’ve been listening to Christmas music since November 1st (I know…!) because I just love how soulful, playful, and heartwarming the music of this season can be. I hope a little of that joy finds its way to you too through this playlist of my favourite songs that I put together for you.

Wishing you a peaceful, joy-filled Christmas (if you celebrate), time with people you care about, and a wonderful, healthy new year.
