What I’ve done for my own health that might surprise you…
This might surprise you.
Over the last 10 years, I’ve done a lot of things that wouldn’t land on a “Top 10 Natural Health Solutions” list.
Things like:
Getting a breast reduction
→ Life-changing, by the way.
LASIK eye surgery
→ Almost 10 years of not wearing glasses was heavenly. (Boo, readers )
A uterine ablation
→ It helped with heavy periods and low iron. This wasn’t the only thing that improved my iron, but this totally changed my cycle—from dreading it to barely noticing it.
4 months of Lamisil for toenail fungus
→ After 20+ years of trying natural remedies, I was still super self-conscious about my toes. This cleared it up, and now I don’t think twice about showing them off (even without polish!).
Oral micronized progesterone
→ My sleep was great—except in the lead-up to my period, which was becoming longer and more intense. Since starting this, my cycle often sneaks up on me… PMS is almost nonexistent.
Here’s the thing:
I’m still a Naturopathic Doctor.
I still believe deeply in the body’s ability to heal.
I believe in food as medicine, the power of movement, rest, mindset, and stress support.
But I also believe in making well-informed choices.
And that’s exactly what I want for you too.
My job isn’t to push you in one direction or another.
It’s to provide information—about natural approaches and conventional options—so that you can make educated, empowered decisions about what’s right for you.
No judgment. Ever.
Recently, I’ve had a number of women tell me they’re a bit embarrassed to admit they’re using GLP-1 medications (like Ozempic).
Here’s my take:
When used responsibly—with strength training, enough protein, and a plan that supports your metabolism and muscle mass—they can be a helpful tool.
Just like many of the tools I’ve chosen myself.
Because the main goal is to feel better:
Stronger
More energized
Confident in your body
If you’ve ever wondered whether working with a naturopath means you can’t explore conventional medicine…
Let me reassure you: you can.
If you’re already a patient, I hope you’ve felt that openness.
And if you’re not yet a patient—but you’re feeling stuck, confused, or overwhelmed—I’d love to help.
Let’s talk about what’s possible for you. No pressure. No guilt. Just a plan that works.
P.S. Something I feel incredibly strongly about—no matter what path you take—is getting the foundational pieces in place.
That means:
Knowing how to fuel your body with the right nutrition
Eating enough (and the right kinds of foods) to truly support your hormones, energy, and metabolism
And incorporating strength training in a way that fits your lifestyle and builds real, lasting results
If that’s something you could use help with, I have a new six-week client round starting Monday.
As a special treat, I’m offering $20 off with code RESET20.
Whether you’re already a patient or not, this is one of the best ways to build real momentum toward feeling better, stronger, and more like yourself again.
Let’s get you feeling your best.
